A gem for both teens & parents!
This book is such a gem for both teens and parents. The simple, relatable language makes it easy to follow, and the real-life examples and CBT strategies feel doable, not overwhelming. My teen has started using some of the ideas, and we’ve already noticed a difference in her confidence and stress levels. It’s especially great for small groups or families to work through together. It’s down-to-earth, practical, and truly helpful. I’d recommend it to anyone raising or supporting teens!

This book is truly excellent. Robinson speaks in a voice that becomes a peer and uses easily digestible language that really reaches the reader. As an older teenager myself who has been invested in my own mental health journey for many years, having access to this book when I was in high school would have truly changed my life.

As a person recently diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, GAD, and Depression, I have engaged in all kinds of cognitive behavioral therapy and done a lot of research on my own, but none of it seems written with the person themselves in mind. CBT often seems like an elusive concept shrouded in big words and hard to understand methods. But it is truly life changing to practice, and Robinson’s method of bringing this idea to young people is simply brilliant. I will be recommending this book to all of my friends.

Great book to help teens and parents navigate their behaviors and emotions. In chapter 3 I love the concept of emotional mapping. We can all be triggered by different things and it’s so important to know why. Michelle writes “ Once you recognize what sets off certain emotions, you can prepare for them.” Having control over your emotions instead of letting your emotions control you is very empowering.
